The shorts were designed to replace cinematic sreels, which had been rendered largely redundant by the increasing prevalence of television sets and televisual s broadcasts. This volume contains 45 digitally restored films, many unseen since their initial cinematic broadcast, to provide an insight into the culture, s and concerns of 1960s Britain.
